The SAID Board of Directors, at the recommendation of the Membership committee, has recently approved updates to our membership dues structure.  We hope these updates include more value and more opportunities to participate as a member of SAID.  Here are a few FAQs regarding the updates.

When will the new dues structure take place?
The new dues structure will take effect on January 1, 2025.

When was the last time SAID raised membership dues rates?
SAID's last rate increase was in 2017 to $150.

How did SAID arrive at this increase?
The membership committee studied what other similar organizations are charging for their dues, considered the value of a SAID membership and its benefits for each member category, and the expanded program work of the organization. The new dues structure also allows SAID to continue offering the lowest fee to students, and now offers a tiered membership fee for newly graduated dentists.  Moreover, we are now offering a package rate for our institutional members which includes their annual conference exhibitor table.

How will rates be considered in the future?
The Board of Directors will evaluate its dues structure annually to ensure we are meeting the mission and financial stability of the organization.  It is likely that SAID will work toward a slight, incremental increase on an annual basis to aviod a subsantial increase all at once in future years.
