SAID Membership Benefits
Membership in the Society of American Indian Dentists (SAID) is not limited to American Indian dentists and dental students. Our membership includes anyone who believe in the mission of SAID. We have several memberships available to choose from. Membership dues are annual for the calendar year. Voting ($150)--Any licensed, formerly licensed or retired dentist who is in good standing with their licensure agency, and is a member of a state or federally recognized American Indian Tribe shall be eligible to be a Voting Member. Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and members of First Nations are among those included. Acceptable verification of tribal membership shall be limited to the presentation of Certificate Degree of Indian Blood (CDI) or tribal enrollment card. Your contribution helps SAID continue student programming as well as support the needs of our professional members. Moreover, professional voting members receive a significant discount on their conference registration, are invited to mentor future SAID dentists, and are eligible to vote on the board composition and other certain matters concerning SAID. Voting Members are also offered one complimentary e-blast to promote a job opening, or other business-related information. And, job board postings are offered at a great discount. Associate ($150)--Any person, dentist or non-dentist, who supports the mission and purpose of SAID. Your contribution helps SAID continue student programming as well as support the needs of our professional members. Moreover, associate members receive a significant discount on their conference registration, are invited to mentor future SAID dentists, and are offered one complimentary e-blast to promote a job opening, or other business-related information. And, job board postings are offered at a great discount. Institutional Membership ($150)--Any organization or educational institution that supports the mission and purpose of SAID and meets such eligibility criteria as the Board of Directors may from time to time. Your contribution helps SAID continue student programming as well as support the needs of our professional members. Moreover, institutional members receive a significant discount on their conference registration, are invited to mentor future SAID dentists, and are offered one complimentary e-blast to promote a job opening, or other business-related information. And, job board postings are offered at a great discount. Student ($25)--Student Membership shall be open to any member of a state or federally recognized American Indian Tribe, Alaska Native regional or village corporation, Native Hawaiian governing entity, or member of a First Nation currently enrolled in any accredited college or university offering a dentistry or pre-dental curriculum, or actively applying to dental school. To be eligible for travel to the next conference and next round of scholarships, you will need to be a member in the current year and the following year in which the award is given. Application announcements will be sent to current SAID student members in the last quarter of the year and will be due by the end of the calendar year for the following year.
